The hostel had a fantastic location, with shops, restaurants, and the beach just a stone's throw away. The common area was spacious and beautifully decorated, providing a great place to relax and socialize. I also loved that the beds had curtains for added privacy, and each bed had its own individual light and power socket, which was really convenient.
There were a couple of drawbacks to my stay. the towel and sheet changes were quite infrequent, as they were only done once every 7 days.

The place is absolutely stunning! The old building has been beautifully renovated, and the courtyard under the open sky is a great spot to relax. The rooms are spacious and clean, with high ceilings. The hostel's location is perfect, just a short walk away from the beach and close to shops, restaurants, and cafes. Plus, the staff is friendly and helpful.
The noise at night when you open the window to let the breeze in. It can make it difficult to sleep, especially if you're a light sleeper.

The hostel had a really cool and historic vibe, with a beautiful renovated building and a charming courtyard. the rooms were spacious, with high ceilings and everything was kept very clean. Plus, the location was ideal, just a short walk away from the beach and the city center.
the windows had to be kept open at night due to the heat, but the street noise was so loud that it made it difficult to sleep.

It was just a short walk away from the beach, making it easy to enjoy the sun and sand. the hostel was close to bus stops, making it convenient to explore other parts of the city. the private room I stayed in was spacious, clean, and had air conditioning, ensuring a comfortable stay. the kitchen provided basic appliances and the beautiful patio was a great place to relax.
There were no organized events or dinners at the hostel. It would have been nice to have some planned activities to interact with other guests and enhance the hostel experience.

I had an amazing stay at this hostel! the beds were comfortable and each one had a curtain for privacy. the common areas were perfect for meeting other travelers and making friends. the kitchen had everything I needed, including filtered water. the location was ideal, just a few minutes' walk from the beach and city center. the highlight for me was the yard, where I could relax, chat with others, work, and enjoy meals and drinks. It truly felt like a home away from home. Cons: Nothing, it's simply perfect! .

The hostel has a great atmosphere with charming old-timey furniture and decorations. the well-equipped kitchen and friendly staff are a plus. the location is also fantastic, being the only place in the city with such unique architecture. It is close to all the city's attractions and offers the possibility of self-check-in at certain times.

I stayed at Le Mat for 2 nights in July. The location is fantastic, just a short walk to the beautiful beaches and beach boulevard. The staff, including owner Gregory, were incredibly friendly. The hostel has a cozy backyard and the whole building has a charming, old vibe. The beds are comfortable with curtains, sockets, and lights. The locker under the bed is spacious and doesn't require a padlock. The well-equipped kitchen even offers free tea. The WiFi is stable and there are European sockets available in the courtyard. it was the coziest and most enjoyable hostel experience I've had.
100% Recommend this hotel.

The hotel is conveniently located in a vibrant neighborhood with plenty of dining options and a short walk to the beach. the rooms are clean and comfortable, with vintage furniture and ample storage space. the shared bathrooms are well-maintained, with separate showers and toilets. the hostel also offers a beautiful inner courtyard where guests can relax and enjoy their morning coffee.
The lack of activities to socialize and meet each other could be improved.
